8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Introduction and Welcome with Director and Co-Director
9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.: What Diversity Means to Me: Photojournalist and National Mentor
Guest: A.E. Araiza
9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Visual Communications, Photojournalism, Newspaper photography lecture and Field Trip
Lecturer: A.E. Araiza, photojournalist from Arizona Daily Star, will lead a lecture on and around campus on Photojournalism
4 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Story Ideas
Meet with John and Veronica to go over story ideas
6 to 7 p.m.: Short Break to get ready for dinner
7 to 10 p.m.: Spaghetti Dinner with Mentors

Guest: Cecil Schwalbe, a consultant for National Geographic Society and herpetologist with US Geological Survey. Cecil will run a course on safety for handling venomous reptiles
